Sorry, but the Ena, Minnie & Martha sketch with Victoria Wood, Julie Walters & Lil Roughley has been taken off YouTube, so have replaced it with this Harry Hill sketch instead.
Coronation Street 'Look Good Naked' for the charity Children In Need, with fashion stylist and television presenter, Gok Wan.
Here we have a video of Sally Whittaker (Sally Webster) and her daughter Phoebe visiting a child Sally has been sponsoring in India.
Here's a gem of an old commercial that Fred Whyment sent me.  I think you will recognise the 'Worm', and if I am not mistaken, the teacher is being played by Keith Clifford.
The spoilers have been moved to the bottom of the page, so people can look at the videos below without their eye catching something they would rather not see.
A short video when Britain was preparing to watch Vera's last episode
Who remembers Maureen Lipman as Lilian Spencer, the new Rovers Landlady?  This clip shows her (unwelcome by some) arrival.  You will also get a quick glimpse of our Curly Watts.
A  preview of a program Liz Dawn did against the evils of smoking.
This one is a great collection of slaps, beer throwing and punches.
OK, so this one has absolutely nothing to do with Coronation Street, but I just loved it so put it here so I could look at it whenever I needed a lift.  If only our own species could get along like this!
Going right back to 1938 with this one.  Betty Driver (Betty Williams) starred in the film Penny Paradise, and here she is singing 'Stick Out Your Chin & Smile".  After this one is over, you just might see a link to another song she sang in the same film called 'You Can't Have Your Cake and the Penny Too'.
For Graeme Proctor lovers!

On the left, Graeme using his chatup lines at Jason & Tina's party.  (This one is a spoiler for non-UK)

On the right, Craig Gazey accepting his award for Best Newcomer at the 2009 British Soap Awards.
Here is the classic Corrie version of Lionel Bart's 'Oliver', based of course on the book by Dickens.  The cast came in on their days off to film this brilliant masterpiece to raise money for the Children In Need charity.
Some of the Corrie cast performing at the Royal Gala in 1966, with the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh sitting up in the Royal Box
This is Vernon desperately trying to hold onto Liz by singing her a song he wrote.  This Corrie clip was banned from being embedded onto other websites, so to get around this, the fellow on YouTube, (he calls himself Vernon Tomlin) added extras of his own to the video.  Time will tell if they leave it on there.
This clip features comedienne and actress Jayne  Bickerton (Yana)as phone room girl Mary Unfaithful with Lily Savage (Paul O Grady)- Husband & wife presenters, Richard Madeley & Judy Finnegan, author Jackie Collins and Gray O' Brien (now Tony Gordon)
Here we have Jayne Bickerton a few years back recalling a few of her favourite Corrie characters.
Here is Jayne again, just before the exhibition of her art work opened.  She is on the Paul O'Grady show, showing everyone how to make a priceless work of art with a few paints, a bit of card and an electric drill!
Kevin Webster covers the history of Coronation Street in 49 seconds on The Hour TV Show.
Who's going over to celebrate Fred Whyment's birthday in 2010?  Well I just found this little gem on You Tube that will help you find the best places to go while you are in Manchester, and your guide here is Fred's son Andy - who plays Kirk Sutherland.  The clip is a little old, because the girlfriend he mentions is now not only his wife, but the mother of his adorable son.  But I hope Shimla Pinks is still there, because I want to try it when I get there!
Remember the cute little Craig Harris?  Well, here is Richard Fleeshman, who played him, on Loose Women
So now of course, we have to have one of Richard singing.
I was just alerted to this long lost gem.  It's our own Kathy Jones singing on the Arrows Show in 1976.  The song is called 'Down Our Street', and she could have been singing about Coronation Street, or a thousand other streets of the day.

It's delightful, and I thank the person who made it available on You Tube!
The Arrows incidentally are Alan Merrill and Jake Hooker.
This one, starring Rosie Webster, Luke Strong & Michelle Connor was deleted from the show before it aired, as on sober second thought, they decided it was too risqué for early evening viewing.
Ant & Dec star in this contest between a Corrie and Emmerdale scene.  They each get together with the writers and actors of the two soaps, and a panel of judges decide whose scene is the best.
So here they are.  Much as I love Corrie, I think my money is on Emmerdale.  How about you?
This one had me helpless with laughter!  I found it a lot funnier than Bradley Walsh did at the time! LOL!!
Ken & Deirdre have certainly had their ups and downs over the years.  I think Ken has Deirdre beaten when it comes to affairs, but this was the aftermath of her only really serious extra-marital entanglement.
They have managed to stay together on and off for many years, but it has never been a union of passion, or even real affection - they have no interests in common, and if they didn't have other people living with them, they probably wouldn't speak to each other for months on end.
Because of the storyline currently in Canada, it seemed like a good time to remind people of what their marriage was like for Deirdre after only two years.
Ever heard the Corrie theme tune played on a piano?  It's kind of pleasant.
*SPOILERS*
Wheelchair user Cherylee Houston will play Izzy who arrives on the Street in April when Kirk arranges to meet her through an online dating service.

However, it's far from love at first sight and Kirk won't be the only man on the Street who gets to see Izzy's feisty, fiery personality.

Cherylee begins filming an initial six month stint in February having previously appeared in Holby City, The Bill, Little Britain, A Thing Called Love and Emmerdale.

She said "I'm really excited and well chuffed to be joining the show. I grew up with Coronation Street and I can't wait to get started. I'm really looking forward to getting my teeth into the character."

Iain MacLeod, ITV's story editor told us: "She's attracted to bad boys and, due to her own messy romantic history, she's become something of a heartbreaker over the years, reeling boys in but leaving them crushed. And when we meet her family - including tough-but-tender dad Owen - we realise her troubled background has played a large part in shaping this combative, complicated young woman – and that her past might soon rear its ugly head once again.

This is the second time Coronation Street has employed a disabled actor, the first was Ali Briggs, who plays Emily's deaf niece Freda.  Their first wheelchair bound character, Maud Grimes was played by able bodied Elizabeth Bradley

Coronation Street has cast Ian Puleston-Davies as a new love interest for Liz McDonald.

The actor will arrive in the soap as father to Izzy, the soap's third disabled character, played by Cherylee Houston. (First one was Maud Grimes and second was Freda )

A soap spokeswoman told itv.com: "Owen is a bit of a rough diamond and a tough-but-tender dad to Izzy - he's got a colourful past but there is soon a spark between him and Liz (Beverley Callard)."

Ian, whose screen credits include Hollyoaks, The Bill and Brookside, will begin an six-month stint in April and appear on screen in May.

Speaking of his new role, he told itv.com: "I've been watching Corrie all my life, I'm so damn nervous and very excited of course. My good mate Reece Dinsdale (Joe) said I'll have a ball.

"I know a few of the regulars so I'll just get them to hold my hand at the beginning. I just can't wait for my first pint of Mackeson in the Rovers - or should that be Newton And Ridley?"

The Duchess of Cornwall paid a visit to Weatherfield on February 5, 2010 to kick off the year long celebrations of Corrie's 50th anniversary.
These next two are uploaded with the kind permission of Corriespace, and are sending up the current UK episodes.  Very funny stuff!
CORONATION Street is to screen Soapland's first ever transsexual wedding as part of the show's 50th anniversary celebrations.
Café owner Roy Cropper (David Neilson) will finally wed sex-swap lover Hayley in a ceremony to make their partnership official.

The pair had their relationship blessed in 1999, but UK law did not then allow transsexuals to marry in their new gender.

Fans saw Hayley - born Harold Patterson - change her name by deed poll to Hayley Cropper, but the pair were never legally wed.

The law was changed in 2004 and Roy and Hayley, played by Julie Hesmondhalgh, will take advantage later this year.

But the marriage is set to cause friction as Roy wants a low budget register office wedding, while Hayley wants a plush do - causing her to ban him from her bed.

An insider said: "Thankfully, Roy relents after Hayley puts the pressure on and it's a day for all the street's residents to celebrate."

One of Coronation Street's characters is going to be left fighting for their life after a car accident in the coming months, according to a report. Warning Spoiler Alert!

The News of the World says shop worker Molly Dobbs, played by Vicky Binns, will be badly injured in the collision when a car being driven by her estranged husband, Tyrone, crashes down a hill after he swerves to avoid a cyclist. He manages to escape uninjured and goes in search of help.

Dobbs has been at the centre of a love triangle storyline after her character became involved with her husband's friend and business partner, Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).

Now estranged from husband Tyrone and no longer involved with Kevin, both men will be left wondering if Molly, who is pregnant, survives. Both men believe that they are the father of her baby.

Corrie bosses are reportedly planning to re-unite factory worker Sean Tully with his long-lost son as part of an emotional plot to mark the soap's 50th anniversary.

Sean, played by Antony Cotton, has not seen his child Dylan since the baby's mother Violet (Jenny Platt) fled Weatherfield in January 2008.

However, the Daily Star reports that Sean and Dylan will come face-to-face later this year after the Sean tries to track Violet down on Facebook.

Sean fathered Dylan in 2007 after agreeing to act as a sperm donor for Violet.

In a heartbreaking twist for Sean, Violet left Weatherfield with partner Jamie Baldwin (Rupert Hill) shortly after Dylan was born, vowing never to contact her friend again.

Coronation Street's 50th anniversary episodes will air in December.

Coronation Street star Shobna Gulati has rallied her soap star pals to help send a young cancer sufferer to Disneyland Paris.

The actress, who plays Sunita Parekh in the soap, persuaded co-stars to perform a comedy, music and magic show in Blackburn next month, the Sun reports.

The event, now reportedly sold out, is being held for five-year-old Madison Allan, who suffers from aggressive neuroblastoma.

Shobna took the youngster on a tour of the Corrie set.

She told the newspaper: "I have known Maddi and her family for years and can't put into words how brave she has been.

"I'm so grateful to the cast and crew. It's going to be eye-opening for people to see their Corrie favourites away from the Street."

Shobna, Malcolm Hebden (Norris Cole), Sam Aston (Chesney Brown), Vicky Binns (Molly Dobbs) and Andrew Whyment (Kirk Sutherland) are among the stars set to show off their skills at the event.

The variety show will take place at Blackburn's Thwaites Empire Theatre on April 18.
