OF THE FORTNIGHT
Are you now, or have you ever been in Coronation Street?  If so, we would love to make you our Pinup of the Fortnight.

Just fire off an e-mail HERE, along with a good sized clear photo, and we will be happy to put it up.

It doesn't matter how big or small your part was.  C'mon... don't be shy!

Oh yes, we are going back a bit this time aren't we?  Back in 1961 Peter played the part of Len Fairclough's son Stanley.  Stanley made two more reappearances, but those had to be played by other actors because by that time Peter was far too busy being top of the hit parade, and being chased around by every teenage girl in Britain.  At the tender age of 15, he became Herman of 'Herman's Hermits' and had huge hits like "Henry the VIII", "There's A Kind Of Hush", "Can't You Hear My Heartbeat", "I'm Into Something Good", "Listen People", "No Milk Today", "A Must To Avoid" and countless others translated into 14 Gold records, 7 Gold albums, and over 23 best-selling recordings; in total 51 million recordings sold. (Cashbox Magazine states that in 1965, Hermans Hermits sold more records than the Beatles.) Their live concert tours played to millions of devoted fans and, in the United States, where their popularity was unprecedented, acts like The Rolling Stones, and The Who opened shows for them.

They are still touring, and still drawing the crowds (I was one of them this past Thursday night in Winnipeg - it was fabulous, and I think age definitely suits him!)

If you would like to see more, check out his sites at www.peternoone.com or at www.hermanshermits.com or you can e-mail Peter at peter@peternoone.com

Had to put this video here, even though he will probably cringe if he sees it now.  It was my favourite song at the time, because I *was* one of Mrs. Brown's luverly daughters, and always felt he was singing it about me! LOL!!
The photo directly below showing Peter on the left in Coronation Street was taken with a camera right off the telly in 1961. (No VCR's in those days!)Below that, Peter has already become a smash hit as Herman, and was making a guest appearance to see his 'Dad', Len Fairclough.

Thanks to Jana for making these pictures available to us!
